Adeva occupies the top floor of an 1887 building on the Oberlin square, and the space has been restored to its original look. It is an Aveda Concept salon and spa that follows Aveda's wellness mission, using Aveda products the salon describes as naturally derived.

The owner, Jenna Skrada, joined in 2020 and took ownership in 2024. The team includes senior, designer and new talent stylists, an apprentice, a guest stylist, an esthetician, a nail technician and an operations manager. The salon describes its services as the finest available, and the team says it works at the top of the beauty industry and attends hair shows across the country and overseas.

Hair color includes Aveda Vibrants, a semi-permanent option where a 15-minute color consultation is recommended first. Vibrants look most intense after hair is pre-lightened and show little effect on naturally dark hair; natural light to medium brown hair gets a subtler result, while medium to light blonde hair can reach an intense effect without pre-lightening. Vomor hair extensions are sold only through the Aveda salon network and are described as ethically sourced, humanely collected and packaged sustainably. Their colors match the Aveda color wheel. Extension services begin with a $30 consultation with a certified extension technician, and hair must reach at least jawline length to qualify for an application.

Facials start with a consultation and a treatment plan built around each client's needs. Every facial includes a foot soak and scrub, an aroma experience, and massage of the scalp, hands, arms, feet and legs. Deluxe versions add extra skin care, longer massage time and a hot towel wrap for hands and feet. After a nail service, guests take home a nail file and buffer. Staff cannot legally perform invasive nail work such as removing ingrown nails or treating fungus.

Appointments are held with a credit card number. Cancellations must be made by phone at least 48 hours ahead; later cancellations are charged half the service cost, and missed appointments are charged in full. Clients receive a confirmation reminder 2 to 3 days before their visit. If expressed needs are not met, the original provider offers a complimentary adjustment within one week for color and haircuts, or within three days for nails.
