About
Susan Beck, L.Ac., practices acupuncture at GenWell Integrative Acupuncture in Somers, New York. She is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut, is nationally certified through the NCCAOM, and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1995.
Much of her practice concerns discomfort, restricted movement and the nervous system. She treats chronic and acute pain, and also sees patients for anxiety, stress, depression, digestive complaints and menopausal symptoms. She works as well with immune function and general wellbeing. Her orthopedic work covers athletic injuries, overuse injuries from repeated motion, recovery after surgery, and adhesions or scar tissue.
Her foundation is gentle, modern Japanese acupuncture, in which she has advanced training. She has taught this approach at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and through private workshops. For musculoskeletal complaints she adds EXSTORE, an orthopedic system combining electroacupuncture, dry needling, trigger point therapy and soft-tissue techniques to improve muscle function, joint stability and range of motion. The gentle Japanese style suits patients sensitive to treatment or managing long-term conditions.
She sees patients Tuesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Fridays from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. She is an in-network provider with Aetna.
