Susan Beck, L.Ac.

Susan Beck, L.Ac., is licensed as an acupuncturist at GenWell Integrative Acupuncture in Somers, New York, and holds licensure in New York and Connecticut along with national certification from the NCCAOM. She graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1995 and later completed advanced training in gentle Japanese acupuncture and the EXSTORE orthopedic system. She has also taught gentle Japanese acupuncture at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and through private workshops.

Much of her practice concerns discomfort, restricted movement and the nervous system. She sees patients for chronic and acute pain, and also for anxiety, stress, depression, digestive complaints and menopausal symptoms. Her orthopedic treatment addresses athletic injuries, overuse injuries from repeated motion, rehabilitation after surgery, and adhesions or scar tissue, using electroacupuncture, dry needling, trigger point therapy and soft-tissue methods. The gentle Japanese style may suit patients who are sensitive to treatment or living with long-term conditions. She also supports nervous-system balance, immune function and general wellbeing.

She is an in-network provider with Aetna. Her hours are Tuesdays 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesdays and Thursdays 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Fridays 2:00 to 6:00 PM. She holds that the body can heal substantially when it receives proper support, and she aims to help each patient move more freely, recover more completely and enjoy daily life more.
