Simone Stalling, MD, PhD, FAAD

Simone Stalling, MD, PhD, FAAD, owns and leads AVIVA Dermatology and is a board-certified dermatologist. She earned a chemical engineering degree summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, then completed dual doctoral degrees in medicine and bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. She practiced dermatology in Tyler, Texas for four years before her work at AVIVA.

Her training includes an internal medicine internship at Temple University Hospital and a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During residency she worked in the skin cancer and pigmented lesion clinic, the hair and nail clinic and the veterans' residency clinic. Teaching from cosmetic surgeon Dr. Suzan Obagi during residency helped shape her interest in cosmetic dermatology.

Her focus spans cosmetic dermatology alongside medical and surgical care. She has expertise in using technology to diagnose skin conditions and in surgical methods for treating them. She can tailor BELA MD Facial treatments to a patient's skin type, concerns and long-term goals. She has also been interviewed on the Pathways podcast about her work at AVIVA.
