Shawn Shih

Shawn Shih is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who practices medical and cosmetic dermatology at Geria Dermatology, seeing patients of all ages and skin types. His clinical areas include acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, skin of color and hair loss. He holds a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. His dermatology residency at Boston University covered medical dermatology, skin cancer, hair loss and skin of color. He is on the faculty of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai, has published numerous peer-reviewed papers, and received the Skin of Color Society Research Award. His additional expertise covers laser and energy-based treatments, subcision, neuromodulators, dermal fillers and chemical peels.
