Shawn Shih, MD FAAD

Shawn Shih, MD, FAAD, works as a board-certified dermatologist at Geria Dermatology, offering medical and cosmetic care to patients of all ages and skin types. He received a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. His residency in dermatology took place at Boston University, covering medical dermatology, skin cancer, hair loss and skin of color. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His clinical focus is acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, skin of color and hair loss. On the cosmetic side he performs laser and energy-based treatments, subcision, neuromodulators, dermal fillers and chemical peels. He is on the faculty of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles. He has received the Skin of Color Society Research Award.
