Dr. Derakhshan

Dr. Derakhshan works as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Ontario, California practice of Dr. Troy Andreasen. He holds a medical degree from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, completed a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School, and then trained in a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins University. He is also an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University, where he is involved in surgical education and research.

His practice centers on rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation, including revision rhinoplasty for aesthetic or functional concerns that remain after an earlier nasal operation. His facial work includes facelift and neck lift, generally using a deep-plane approach, along with eyelid surgery, brow lift, lip lift, and ear reshaping. Before recommending anything, he looks at the face as a whole and talks through what the patient wants changed and what a successful outcome would mean to them. He explains what a procedure can and cannot accomplish, how recovery usually progresses, and which risks to consider. He aims for natural, balanced results that preserve the patient's identity.
