Adeeb Derakhshan

Adeeb Derakhshan practices as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and works with Dr. Andreasen at the Ontario practice. Medical training took place at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, where he received a Doctor of Medicine degree. He then completed an otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins University. He is an assistant professor at Loma Linda University and, alongside private practice, remains active in surgical education and research. His procedures cover the face, nose, eyes, neck and ears. Rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty are part of his practice, including revision work for concerns left after an earlier nasal operation. He also performs facelifts and neck lifts, most often using a deep-plane technique that repositions the tissues beneath the skin. Eyelid surgery, brow lifts, lip lifts and ear reshaping round out his work. When assessing a patient, he looks at the whole face and how each feature fits with the rest. During consultations he explains what a given procedure can and cannot achieve, the usual recovery timeline, and the risks involved.
