Dr. Bender

Dr. Bender works as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and head and neck surgeon at Face Forward Houston in Houston, Texas. Her practice covers cosmetic and reconstructive procedures on the face and neck, hair restoration surgery and non-surgical facial optimization. She holds two board certifications, both in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She earned a bachelor's degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and a medical doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine. After medical school she completed an internship and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by a fellowship run through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under Dr. Edward Buckingham in Austin, Texas. Her hair restoration skills came from training with several surgeons across the country. During residency she joined a humanitarian mission to the Philippines, where she performed cleft lip and palate repairs. Her memberships include the Texas Medical Association, the Houston Society of Otolaryngology, and two national academies, one for facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and one for otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
