Doris Day, MD

Doris Day, MD is board-certified in dermatology and founded and owns Day Dermatology & Aesthetics in New York City. She has practiced there since 1998 and has more than 20 years in dermatology. She holds the position of Clinical Professor of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, a post since 2024, and supervises NYU dermatology residents at Bellevue Hospital. Her clinical areas are laser, cosmetic, surgical and aesthetic dermatology, with her main emphasis on cosmetic, laser and longevity dermatology. She has injected for more than 25 years and personally performs every neuromodulator and dermal filler injection. She also designs each laser and energy-device plan. Treatments she offers include neuromodulators, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, lasers for redness and pigment, energy-based lifting and tightening, and hair restoration using Fotona. Her education started with a BA in English from Barnard College, followed by a master's in journalism from NYU with a science writing certificate, and an MD from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. Her dermatology residency at Cornell University/The New York Hospital included a term as chief resident. Beyond the clinic, she trains physicians in soft tissue fillers, laser treatments and facial rejuvenation and lectures nationally and internationally. She has written four books, among them Beyond Beautiful (2018) and Rebooting the Biome (2023). Since 2008 she has hosted a dermatology show on SiriusXM Doctor Radio. Castle Connolly has named her a Top Doctor since 2004, she entered its Hall of Fame in 2023, and Newsweek with Statista ranked her number 3 among America's Best Cosmetic Dermatologists in 2022 and 2023. She has served on the American Academy of Dermatology Nominating Committee from 2025 to the present.
