Xenith

Xenith is a trans-owned collective in Richmond, founded by Miche Reeve and Olivia Budzik. Alongside cosmetic tattooing and gel nails, the collective includes body tattoo artist Jess Versus, and it also does body art tattoos.

The brow menu covers Nano brows, which use a rotary machine and single needle to tattoo hair-like strokes, and powder and ombré brows, which use powder shading to mimic pencil. Combination brows blend the two. Touch-ups run $100 to $250, a color refresh for returning clients is $250, and cover-ups for brows tattooed elsewhere require a consultation and approval before booking. Initial brow sessions are listed at $350 for Nano and Combination, $550 for cover-ups, with second sessions at $250. Saline removal and facial hair restoration are part of the cosmetic tattoo offering.

Gender affirming cosmetic tattoos can be aimed at facial feminization, masculinization, a combination, or neither, depending on what the client wants. These services are sliding scale on a pay-what-you-can basis, and payment plans are available.

Xenith is by appointment only. A $150 non-refundable deposit and a card on file are needed to book everything except complimentary consultations, which can be done in person or by Zoom, FaceTime, or phone. Rescheduling within 72 hours means a new deposit, and arriving more than 10 minutes late means rebooking with a new deposit. No-shows without notice are charged at least half of the service total and cannot book future appointments. Cosmetic tattoo clients must be 18 or older. Parking is limited to two hours directly out front, with paid options on 3rd Street and a deck at Grace and 2nd Street.

Nails are structured gel manicures using The Gel Bottle builder gel. Manicures include shaping, cuticle care, a hot towel, and a sugar scrub or moisture mask, and they come in four named tiers: Ursa Minor, Ursa Major, Andromeda Galaxy, and Supernova. Add-ons include extensions, gel removal, acrylic or dip removal, and repairs. Acrylic and pedicures are not offered. Nail clients need to cancel at least 48 hours ahead to avoid a 50% fee, and a card must be kept on file.

Xenith describes itself as an inclusive collective, and it keeps gender affirming work accessible through sliding scale pricing and payment plans.
