At the nail salon, the menu is built around the foundation of the nail: shaping, cuticle care, hydration and proper product removal. Services begin with an essential oil cleansing spray and a warm towel wrap, and no soaking is involved. Old product is removed before each service, and moisture-intensive products go on at the end, with that time included in the appointment length. Metal tools are autoclaved between services, and single-use files and buffers are thrown away after each visit. The salon does not offer dip powder, SNS or acrylic extensions and does not remove acrylics, hard gels or dip, so anything applied elsewhere must come off before a visit. The team says it keeps training and educating itself.

Skin by HC describes itself as a wellness house built on ritual, culture and community, and its treatments draw on bathing and body traditions from many cultures. The hammam rooms run between 90 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit, with warm water poured over the body and full-body exfoliation, and guests may wear a bathing suit, undergarments or nothing, at their own comfort level. The space has a front lounge with Wi-Fi, a Pillow Room offered first come, first served with priority for hammam guests, and Lolo's Tiny Kitchen, a café named after the founder's late father that serves snacks, seasonal drinks and Filipino coffee. The concierge team greets guests, offers house tea or chilled spa water, and handles check-in.

A visit to Skin by HC is quiet, with hush tones and treatment rooms kept calm. Guests are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, submit intake forms at least a day ahead, turn phones off or silent, and change into house slippers, which are sanitized between uses and can also be bought. Guests are asked to linger at least five minutes after a treatment, and there is no time limit on staying afterward. Gratuity is included in the price, and the space is cashless. Parking is on the street, along Strawberry Street, West Main and Floyd Avenue.

The nail services focus on preparing the nail properly, removing product before each visit, hydrating at the end and avoiding soaking. Skin by HC frames its rituals as globally inspired and curated.

Skin by HC keeps to hush tones and quiet treatment rooms, with its own curated playlists and no wind chimes or rainforest sounds.
