Jess Versus is a body tattoo artist at Xenith. They began tattooing in Brooklyn in 2009, moved to Virginia in March 2013, and then spent the following decade working in Richmond body tattoo shops.
Their work centers on organic illustration and figurative imagery, including floral, animal, and human forms, in black and grey and in color. Lately they have focused on large-scale pieces and cover-ups, and they hope to take on more scar coverups and other restorative tattooing.
Jess books by email only and checks email on Tuesdays. Larger pieces are charged at $200 per hour, with a $100 non-refundable deposit for tattoo appointments.
