Xanadu Salon

Xanadu Salon describes its mission as serving the community with a welcoming, affirming space for self-expression. The team is made up of independent and in-salon stylists, each with their own focus, so clients can choose a stylist whose work suits what they want.

Owner Kristina leads the salon's color and cutting work and says they have spent more than 17 years behind the chair, with stage work around the world. Clients can book through the salon's GlossGenius page. New color clients are asked to come in for an in-person consultation before booking a color service.

Cancellations received less than 48 hours before an appointment incur a charge of half the service price, while missed appointments without notice are charged the full price. Arriving over 15 minutes late may be recorded as a late cancellation, carrying a 50% fee. Refunds are not issued, but a client can ask their stylist to change a service within 5 days. Visitors without an appointment are requested not to wait inside the salon, and sharp implements and chemical products are regarded as unsuitable for children.

Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 11 AM to 7 PM, Thursday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM; the salon is closed on Mondays and Sundays. Metered street parking runs along Euclid and can be paid through the ParkMobile app, a garage across the street charges about $4 every 2 hours, and free street parking is available on Maryland east of the salon.
