Colorwheel Hair

Colorwheel Hair was started in 2016 by three stylists who could not find a salon they wanted to work in, so they opened one themselves. Its owners are Curtis Linscott, Ruth Ogilvie and Sam Mahoney, and stylist Milena Zink also works on the team.

The salon says it puts hair quality and genuine connection with clients ahead of gimmicks. Services are a la carte and can be adjusted to each client, and every service begins with a consultation so the work can be planned together.

Hair services include haircuts with blow dry, root touch-ups, and partial or full dimensional haircolor, with or without a cut. Hair prices start at $60 for a haircut and blow dry and at $220 for full dimensional color with a cut and blow dry. Treatments and facial waxing start at $16.

Hours are Tuesday 10 to 5, Wednesday and Thursday 12 to 8, and Friday 10 to 5, with Saturday by contact and the salon closed Sunday and Monday. Clients are asked to give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancelling less than 24 hours ahead incurs a fee of 50% of the scheduled services, and arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean the service is rescheduled if there is not enough time left. Service refunds are not issued, but retail products can be fully refunded if returned within 2 months of purchase. First-time clients booking services over 3 hours, such as color corrections and vibrant colors, pay a $100 deposit that is deducted from the total at the appointment, and it is refunded only if they cancel or reschedule within 48 hours. Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 16.

The salon says it focuses on hair quality and real connection with clients rather than gimmicks, with customizable a la carte services that begin with a consultation.
