Wink Brow Bar was founded in 2014 and is built around the Embrowerment Method, a signature approach to brow and eye zone work developed by its founder. The business says that hygiene is not negotiable and that artistry should include self-care.

The studio runs three locations: 7 Greenwich Ave in the West Village, 216 Court St in Cobble Hill, and 244 East 60th Street on the Upper East Side, which is listed as new. All three are open seven days a week from 9am to 7pm, and appointments are strongly recommended. Phone support is available at the same hours, and email goes to hello@winkbrowbar.com.

Brow work includes threading, waxing, tinting, a dye-based stain, lightening, keratin lamination and brow extensions. Facial threading and waxing cover the upper lip, chin, forehead, sideburns, cheeks and full face, and full face services include brow shaping. Lash options range from a lash tint and lash lift to a single-lash extension set and temporary lash sets.

For clients who want more permanent results, semi-permanent makeup includes microblading, nanoblading, microshading, powder brows and eyeliner options. Clients get a free consultation first, and not every client is accepted; the deposit is returned if someone is not a candidate.

Policies are clearly set out: cancellations should be made at least 24 hours ahead, late cancellations are charged 30 percent of the service price, and redos must be reported within 48 hours and booked within 7 days. Services are not refunded, while products can be exchanged within 14 days. Brow tattoo removal is not offered at present.

Brows are tailored to each client through a consultation, brow mapping and shaping to the face, following the studio's Embrowerment Method with strict hygiene.
