Threading removes hair with a twisted cotton thread and nothing is applied to the skin; a typical eyebrow appointment runs about 10 to 15 minutes. Body waxing uses hard wax for bikini and other sensitive areas and strip wax for legs and arms. A standard bikini wax takes about 15 minutes, while a Brazilian takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes, with first visits running longer. Clients are asked to let hair grow to about a quarter inch before a wax, and waxing should be postponed for anyone taking Accutane or within a week of a peel or laser treatment.
