WildRye Hair Studio is on the ground floor of My Salon Suites, Suite 306, at 5350 Burnet Rd. in Austin, with the front of the studio facing Burnet Rd. The space is private and cozy, with plants throughout and its own air conditioning and heating. The studio serves the greater Austin community and is run by Seana, who owns it and works as its stylist.

Each visit is booked as a one-on-one appointment, and the studio does not double book, so attention stays on one guest at a time. Every haircut begins with a consultation, and first visits get extra time to talk through current goals, hair history, future goals and at-home styling. Guests can chat, listen to music, work on a laptop or simply relax, and hot and cold drinks, snacks, WiFi and phone chargers are available during appointments. Haircuts use botanical shampoo and conditioner and finish with a blow dry or diffuse style. The studio follows up the week after a first visit to see how the cut or color is settling in.

Color work includes glosses, root touch-ups, all-over color from roots to ends, and Custom Color Refresh for guests who return about every three months to brighten around the face and hairline using balayage, foils, root smudge or a mix of these. Full Custom Color adds brightness or dimension over a longer appointment. The studio's scalp work centers on the Scalp Facial, a one-hour appointment for dry, itchy or flaky scalps and for hair dried out by chlorine, hard water or sun, which can be repeated monthly for an issue or every three months for deeper nourishment.

The studio is Certified Green Salon. Leftover color, foils and hair trimmings are sent to a company that recycles, repurposes or diverts them from landfill. Booking is online through Square at any hour, with an email four days before and a text two days before each visit. Appointments can be changed through the Square app or by email, and a $50 charge per service applies to cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead, though the studio will work with clients on exceptions when appropriate.

Uses a minimalist approach to styling and color, choosing products that support everyday styling and nourishment, with the aim of an easy, manageable and healthy relationship with hair and scalp.
