Wildly Tamed Salon was founded in 2016 by Shontia Delpin, a licensed hair stylist who moved from Seattle to Los Angeles to build her career. The salon focuses on curly hair and describes its mission as offering solutions for people who love their natural hair and want it to flourish.

The salon's early work was with other industry professionals who were looking for dry cutting, maintenance treatments and protective styling for curly hair. That focus has since opened up to clients who want the same care for their own hair, whether they are new to curly hair or have worn it natural for years.

The salon is located inside the Metropolis, in downtown Los Angeles. Appointments can be booked online through Vagaro, and general questions can be sent by phone or email. Hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from noon to 6pm, with the salon closed on Sunday and Monday.

The salon takes an organic approach to hair care and maintenance, treating healthy hair as the basis for how curls look and behave.
