The salon opened in June 2023 as Wild Palomino and now operates under the W I L D E Collective name. It is in suite 403 of a building on Auburn Hills Parkway in McKinney. The salon describes itself as elevated with a small-town feel, and an interview describes the aim as a luxury experience that covers the setting, the service and the final look.

Color is the core of the menu. Blonde and bronde services range from lived-in looks built with lows, highs, color melt and styling to a full blonde with foils throughout. Root color for gray coverage, maintenance color, lowlights and gloss are also offered, and Olaplex is used in several of the color services. Haircuts, blowouts and styling are offered as well, and anyone interested in extensions can start with a free 30-minute consultation that covers lengths, colors and pricing.

Men's grooming is handled through Razor Focus Cuts, a barber listing that operates at The Study within the salon. Housecall grooming runs about an hour and costs $300, with travel fees that vary by location. The business lists after-hours grooming starting at $150 and describes that figure as an estimate.

Clients can text 817-602-5139 with booking or hair questions. Booking requires a card on file, and cancelling less than 24 hours before an appointment incurs a fee of 50 percent of the booked service price. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Products are sold through an online shop and must be picked up at the salon, as shipping is not offered. Eligible unopened products can be returned within 15 days of purchase for store credit only, with no refunds to the original payment method. Apparel is final sale once the packaging has been opened or the item has been worn. Gift cards are sold, and their balances can be checked online.
