Anedena Salon was founded by Dena Howard, who is the master stylist, colorist and owner. The salon describes itself as a luxury hair salon and says it is known across North DFW for custom color transformations, healthy-hair techniques and designer cuts.
The salon operates two North Texas locations. The Tioga site was set up to make its services easier to reach for people in Tioga and nearby towns, and visitors also arrive from Gunter, Collinsville, Whitesboro, Pilot Point, Valley View, Sanger, Van Alstyne, Sherman and Gainesville. The newer Frisco branch, at 5729 Lebanon Rd, Suite 142, draws visitors from Prosper, Celina, Plano and McKinney. Both branches offer cuts for men, women and children.
Services are by appointment only. Frisco can be booked online Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 3pm and Saturday from 8am to 3pm; any other day or time is booked by calling or texting 214-783-2069. Calls are screened, so clients are asked to leave a message or send a text. Tioga has parking.
Several services begin with a consultation. Corrective color is priced at $180 per hour with a two-hour minimum and needs a consultation first. Great Lengths extensions also start with a consultation, where the price is quoted before any hair is ordered, and the salon notes that extensions are not recommended for every client. Balayage starts with a question about how often the client can realistically return to the salon, and the rest of the plan follows from that answer.
Makeup services, including bridal and special occasion makeup, are offered at $75 per hour. Wedding and special occasion hair services, including weddings and proms, range from $65 to $150, and bridal and special-occasion trials and wedding-day styling are available for the client and their party. Tioga clients can also book the salon for a party such as a wedding, birthday or bachelorette. Facial waxing is offered at the Frisco location.
