Vibe & Mane is a hair studio on the second floor of a building on Main Street in North Reading. Blonding and lived-in color are its specialties, and the menu also includes blowouts, highlights, smoothing treatments and event styling.
The studio runs as a hybrid, with commission stylists and independent stylists working side by side. Team members are trained on a shared system meant to keep services consistent, and the team says its goal is the highest standard of service and knowledge. Before a service, stylists spend time learning each guest's style, preferences and hair goals so the appointment can be tailored.
The signature services begin with a consultation. The Vibe Signature Blonding aims for the brightest result that can be reached safely in a single session and includes pre-highlight prep, advanced lightening, end brightening, a gloss and conditioning. The Custom Lived-in Color is a balayage-style look with depth at the root and lighter tones through the mid-lengths and ends. The Retouch & Refresh covers regrowth, grey coverage and refreshed color on the ends.
Appointments and gift cards are booked through the studio's website. The studio is closed Monday and Sunday, sees clients by appointment on Tuesday, and is open Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cancellations made at least 24 hours ahead are accepted; a $50 fee applies to cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment.
The studio works from a consistent training system and learns each guest's style, preferences and goals before tailoring a service.
