Verdandi Salon

Verdandi Salon is based in Sugar Hill, Georgia, and works out of a private studio with no storefront. Every visit is by appointment. Clients book by texting the salon at 770-637-6347, which is the preferred channel, since phone calls go unanswered while staff are with clients. Appointment hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The elevator access code is sent the morning of each appointment.

The salon was founded by Emma Page, who worked as a stylist for about a decade and previously worked as a color educator before opening it. Extensions and custom color are the core of the business, with haircuts offered as well.

Extension work covers Flip-Up, Push-Up, Classic installs, K-Tips, Nanos and Tapes. The salon's FAQ also lists tape-in, single-strand and beaded weft methods. Extension hair is 100% Remy with the cuticle intact, and the salon partners with Philocaly; when Philocaly is not a good fit, alternative options are offered for tight curls, coils and kinky textures. Installs can take anywhere from 2 to 10 hours depending on method. The salon lists an average installation cost of $2000, with pricing varying by hair type, amount and installation complexity. According to the salon, extension hair can last 8 to 12 months with proper home care. Custom coloring of extensions is included at no extra cost with the first installation. Paid consultations cost $100, last an hour, and are credited to the next service if one is booked.

Color is organized into three sessions. Color appointments average 2 to 4 hours.

Visit expectations: children and pets other than service animals are not permitted in the salon, and the salon has room for one wheelchair at a time. Smoking and vaping are not allowed. Security cameras record video and audio. Updos, prom and bridal styling are not offered in-house; those clients are referred to preferred outside stylists. Payment is due at the end of the service and can be made by major credit or debit card, tap-to-pay, Venmo or cash. Retainers are 25% of the expected service cost, or 50% for extension services, and are non-refundable though they can move to a rescheduled appointment within policy limits. Cancellations, rescheduling and changes need 48 hours' notice, and a no-show costs 25% of the expected service cost plus the retainer. Services over $500 may require a signed appointment proposal. Adjustments are offered within 21 days of a service, and redo requests must be made by the end of the appointment or within 10 days.

Uses plant-based, ammonia-free products that are as organic as possible, and describes its practices as eco-conscious wherever possible.
