VANGOBEAUTY operates as Vango Beauty Bar under the DBA VANGO BEAUTY and offers permanent makeup services, PMU training, PMU products and business mentorship. It has studios in Chicago and in Wynwood, Miami, and is led by CEO and founder Vanessa Gomez.

The brow services are split between microblading and microshading. Microblading is a semi-permanent brow procedure in which a hand tool with ultra-fine needles creates hair-like strokes in the skin. It can rebuild lost brows and is offered for thinning or over-tweezed brows, and it typically lasts one to three years depending on skin type and skincare routine. Microshading, also called ombre, powder or combo brows, uses an electronic tattoo pen to place pigment in the top layer of skin for a powdered look; the pigment lightens by about 40 percent as it heals. A first microblading visit runs about 90 minutes and includes shaping and color selection, while a first microshading visit takes roughly two to two and a half hours. The second microblading session comes four to six weeks later and lasts about 60 to 90 minutes. Touch-ups are not done earlier than four weeks after the first session and are suggested every 12 to 18 months.

Lip Blush deposits pigment into the lips to enhance natural color and give a more even-looking tone, and it may last about two to five years with results varying from person to person. Color is assessed around four weeks after the procedure, with a touch-up at roughly six to eight weeks. Lips that have been tattooed before need clear photos before booking, and the appointment is confirmed only once those are approved. The academy teaches permanent makeup in person and online in Chicago and Miami. Courses cover Ombre Brows, Nano Brows and Lip Blush. A three-day in-person brow course includes business education, and students work through a 10-day online pre-training curriculum that stays available for one year after training. Day one of in-person training includes a full VANGO training kit, and certification is available year-round. Training tuition ranges from $3,000 to $5,000 depending on the course or mentorship chosen, and a $500 registration fee secures a place. Options and availability are discussed individually based on goals and location. A free 45-minute discovery call is available before enrolling.

ACE is a 60-day virtual business mentorship for PMU artists, both beginners and those already working, covering branding, marketing, sales, finances, client acquisition and business systems. It includes one live Zoom call each week, recorded lessons to watch on your own schedule, and direct chat access Monday through Friday. ACE is not a PMU technique or certification course.

Bookings for PMU services are by appointment only and are made through the Services section of the website. Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice, and a fee applies otherwise. Special and promotional purchases are non-refundable. The business says it uses sterilized equipment, new needles and a sanitized environment for each session, and brow technicians decide whether to go ahead with a client.

Services are built around a client-first mindset, with pigment matched to the client's natural or desired color and skin tone, and sterile, single-use setup for each session. Technicians may decline a booking when they judge it is not a good fit.
