According to the salon, Salon Today magazine ranked it among the country's 200 fastest-expanding salons in 2008 and again in 2010, and American Salon included it in its September 2011 Big Fish, Small Pond monthly feature.

The salon describes its mission as creating a higher standard of beauty for an exceptional salon experience. Its guiding idea is to give every guest the same attentive care at every visit. Guests may book with any provider on the team, and bridal services include a complimentary consultation requested by email.

The About page lists hair, makeup, facials, waxing and bridal services. Hair services cover shampoo, cut and blow-dry, with haircuts, clipper cuts and youth cuts, color work from glossing to full highlights and balayage, and styling for everyday or special occasions. Waxing covers the face, brows, underarms, legs, arms, back, hands, toes and bikini and Brazilian areas.

The salon exclusively uses and sells Aveda products, which it says are made with organic ingredients from sustainable, renewable natural resources. Staff receive regular opportunities for additional Aveda instruction. The salon reports that its professionals are fully licensed and have extensive Aveda training.

Trü salon is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is closed Sunday and Monday. The phone number is 585.586.7870. Requests to reschedule or cancel need at least 24 hours' notice, and children are not to be brought to spa appointments.

The salon works with Aveda's product line and ongoing training, and says its aim is a higher standard of beauty and an attentive visit.
