TressWorks Salon is a private salon in San Francisco where independent stylists work and rent chairs. Lana Orca founded it after more than two decades as a hairstylist in the city, and she still works behind the chair alongside guest and independent stylists.

The space took about three years to find and was shaped by hand during its build-out. It was designed to feel calm and intimate for clients and stylists alike. Beyond appointments, the salon hosts educational classes, creative workshops, art openings, collaborations and community events.

Services fall into four groups: precision haircuts, color and blonding, texture treatments, and finishing and styling. Prices differ by stylist, so current menus are on the booking site.

The salon uses Oribe exclusively. Oribe was founded by Cuban-born hairstylist Oribe Canales, whose magazine, runway and campaign work included collaborations with Gianni Versace and Jennifer Lopez, and the line became known for the volume associated with 1990s supermodels. TressWorks chose it because its philosophy matches the salon's own. The salon describes Oribe as award-winning. Clients can experience the line at the backbar during services and shop an exclusive retail selection, with complimentary samples offered when available.

Built to be inclusive, aiming to make every client feel comfortable, respected and understood, with personal, unhurried appointments and attention to the time after a visit.
