Its clients come from Bernal Heights, Glen Park, the Mission, the Castro, West Portal and Diamond Heights, as well as other parts of San Francisco. According to the salon, it is the first choice for hair in Noe Valley, and it offers what it calls high-end San Francisco styling at prices it says are lower than downtown's.

A visit usually starts with a free 15-minute consultation, held in person at the salon or by FaceTime or computer. Final price depends on hair length, density and condition, and clients receive an exact quote at that consultation. Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late will need to reschedule. Full highlight appointments require a consultation for first-time clients, and color with root touch-up but no end refresh is not offered to first-time color clients. Bleach and tone from root to end is for natural hair color only; clients with existing color should book a consultation first.

Pricing runs from free to $60 for a quickie or clean-up cut, which is meant for clients who get a haircut roughly every four to five weeks at most and includes no shampoo or blow dry. Standard haircuts are $90 to $110, long or thick haircuts $110 to $175, and children's cuts $60 to $100. Balayage runs $195 to $395 depending on size, highlights $195 to $395, and all-over color $155 to $220. Specialty services include Agave smoothing at $325, keratin smoothing from $300, Japanese thermal straightening at $345 after a consultation, and perms at $185.

Metered parking is on Castro Street, and free parking is available just west of it. There is also free one-hour parking at the Walgreens nearby. The 48 Quintara and 24 Divisadero buses stop outside, and the J Church line is a few blocks away. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm; the salon is closed Sunday and Monday.

Operates as a collective in which each stylist sets their own pricing and books their own chair, so each professional runs their own work. Visits begin with a consultation to plan the cut or color around the client's routine and hair.

The salon describes its vibe as playful, fun, colorful and relaxing, and welcomes people of all ages and genders.
