TouchedByEmilly is a braiding salon on Harwin Drive in Houston. Its menu is organized by style and size, running from small and medium up to jumbo and large, so clients can compare options by the look and scale they want.

About

Prices depend on the style, size and length. The menu also lists extra services: blow dry, take down (starting at $80 and up to $200, depending on style, size and length) and touch-ups (starting at $100, depending on style, size and length).

Booking requires a $50 deposit. That deposit is non-refundable but is deducted from the total. The remaining balance is paid in cash only. Clients are asked to arrive on time and to give at least 30 minutes' notice if they will be late. An appointment can be cancelled if the client is more than an hour late, in which case the deposit is forfeited and a new booking is needed. Requesting a specific braider adds $50.

Styles that are not on the menu can be requested by sending a photo through iMessage, and the salon will reply with a personalized quote. Many styles require clients to bring their own hair, and braids in those styles start at midback length.

The salon also lists services for kids aged 5 to 10 and men's hairstyles. Opening hours run Monday to Friday 7am to 10pm, Saturday 8am to 10pm and Sunday 8am to 11pm.

Pricing and booking follow set rules: a deposit to hold the appointment, a cash balance, and a personalized quote for styles not on the menu.
