The studio centers on curly hair. Visits begin with a shaping appointment, and the salon's services build from there into classes, styling, color and short in-house treatments. Clients on the salon's home page describe Annie as attentive and say she teaches them how to care for their curls. Her coaching work has been exclusive for the past three years.

Bookings open two months ahead, typically on the first day of each month at 9 AM, and the booking page offers a waitlist. A credit card is needed to book. It stays on file in case of cancellation fees and isn't charged at the time of booking. Cancelling or missing an appointment with less than 48 hours' notice incurs the full price of the booked services. Arriving late is covered by a 15-minute grace period if the salon was emailed beforehand. Requests to adjust an appointment must be made within five days after it, and refunds aren't given. Hair should have been washed within the past three days and arrive detangled and worn loose, without tight ponytails, buns, braids, protective styles, hats or head wraps. Light snacks and resealable drinks are welcome; full meals are not.

Annie focuses on personalized curl coaching and advising, with a practical emphasis on low-maintenance routines and what is realistic for each curl type.
