The space covers about 9,000 square feet in an open layout with lounge areas, and treatment rooms are set up as private sanctuaries.

On arrival, guests complete an intake form and should note any pregnancy or other conditions the spa should know about. Robes and slippers are provided, changing is in private rooms rather than communal locker rooms, and there are four private shower suites used first-come, first-served. Lockers are found in two main areas and in each treatment room. Phones stay on silent, and guests step out to take calls. Valuables are best left at home or in the hotel room. Therapists are trained in draping to protect privacy. Guests who want access to the hotel's Fitness Center on the 8th floor, which has a multi-level gym and an indoor heated pool with sauna, should say so at booking; the pool and gym are run by the hotel.

Services are grouped into all-inclusive packages, facials, feet and body treatments, hydrotherapy and Vichy, massage, nails, and salon and beauty services. Packages run from The Spire at $375 for two hours, which includes a Sole Revival, a Signature Facial, a body exfoliation and a RELAX Massage, up to The Crystal at $675 for four hours, which adds a Vichy body scrub, a longer RELAX Massage, a Signature Body Wrap and a Signature Facial. All-inclusive packages also cover gratuities, a glass of wine and a spa gift. A spa coordinator can help plan a package. Massages can be booked couples style, and a side-by-side room lets two guests share a treatment. TANDEM Massage uses two therapists for one guest and must be booked by phone. The spa also hosts corporate events, celebrations, showers, yoga and wellness retreats, and private events, with group packages or a la carte options. Gift cards are sold for use at the recipient's convenience, and an in-house boutique carries curated retail products. Hair styling, makeup and other beauty services can be arranged through local partners at rates that start at $300 per hour, set by the technician.

Reservations can be made by phone at 312-422-1336 or by email at relax@SpaAtPH.com. Reception and retail hours are 10 am to 6 pm Sunday and Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 6 pm Saturday. Treatments run until 7 pm on Sunday, 8 pm on weekdays, and 8 pm on Saturday. Private event hours are arranged by contacting the spa. A service charge of 18% applies to all spa and salon services, and spa services carry a minimum 18% gratuity. Gel polish removal must be scheduled in advance and is not offered for acrylic or dip nails, and nail guests are asked to arrive with bare nails or book a removal.
