The Nurture Soul was started as The GorJessFace in 2015 by its owner, Jess. After about five years under that name, the business transitioned into NurtureSoul, LLC, which is the legal name today.

The studio is built around empowerment, unity, diversity and self-care. Its stated mission is to nurture the soul by bringing out each client's inner beauty, and the owner says the aim is to help women feel that beauty for themselves. Jess approaches every client as a blank canvas and works to enhance their natural features.

A visit typically starts with a consultation. New and returning clients complete an intake form before their first service, and a card on file is needed to hold every appointment. Lash services from the lash menu take about two hours, and lash removal is added when an existing set needs to come off first. Contact lenses need to be removed before lash work begins. Clients who have lost a large share of their natural lashes on both eyes are serviced and charged as a full set.

The business offers natural growth serums and aftercare kits for lashes, along with a Lash Shampoo Foam and a Lash Shampoo Aftercare Kit. It also sells Bliss Elixir, an all-natural brow serum intended to improve brow thickness and fullness.

Travel to clients is available within set distances from Irving. Trips of 15 to 25 miles are included, 30 to 40 miles add a $25 travel fee, and 45 to 55 miles add a $50 travel fee. Appointments beyond 40 miles, including out-of-state, are arranged privately rather than booked online. After-hours appointments carry a $50 premium, and house calls, subject to availability, carry an additional $75 fee.
