Appointments run longer than a typical booking, leaving time at the start to talk through goals, habits, lifestyle and nail health before any service begins. Visits have a relaxed, slumber-party feel, with guests choosing the music or shows, and a quieter appointment is also an option. Clients who use their phone during service can rest it on a stand at the table, and sunscreen is available for anyone who wants extra protection during UV lamp use.
Gel manicures use gel polish cured under UV or LED light and typically last about two to four weeks, depending on growth and lifestyle. Builder gel adds a structural layer over the natural nail for thin, flexible or damaged nails, or for nails being grown longer. Soft gel extensions are full-cover and go over natural nails, and an XL length add-on gives extension clients extra length. Nail art runs from simple surprise designs through tiered styles, and the most elaborate bespoke work is priced by complexity after design inspiration is sent ahead for approval and a quote.
The studio says it follows high sanitation standards and state requirements, uses new or disinfected tools and clean towels for every appointment, and offers many HEMA-free options. It also aims to honor the history of immigrant and BIPOC workers in the US nail industry, and describes itself as pro-LGBTQIA+, pro-liberation and pro-kindness, reserving the right to refuse service for hate speech or disrespectful behavior.
The street entrance is on 21st, next to Kells Brewery. Visitors ring the callbox for building entry and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. A parking lot next to Kells at 21st and Everett is available, and street parking is available on nearby blocks.
Appointments are unhurried and begin with a conversation about goals, habits, lifestyle and nail health before services start.
