Missy and Bethany are both owners and colorists here, and Missy also teaches salon business and technical skills to other professionals. The menu is built around lightening: balayage, foil highlights, hair painting, dimensional blondes and Barbie blondes.

The salon says it lifts hair in a fast, safe way and aims to protect hair integrity, lifting only hair that is healthy enough to take it. It calls foil highlighting the fastest and best route to a sun-kissed or all-over blonde, which is its own claim. Hair painting gives a more diffused, grown-out lighter look and takes about the same time as a foil highlight.

Blonde clients are typically recommended a purple or blue toning shampoo to use once a week. The salon sells a daily highlight shampoo and its own organic hair product line, and clients after a bleach service are usually given a leave-in and a Keratin Therapy product. New clients are asked to text a selfie or two of their current hair and an inspiration photo before booking.
