Color work is central here, and the salon names color correction as its specialty. According to the salon, it has completed more than 5,000 corrections and more than 22,500 blonde appointments; the latter tallies appointments rather than unique clients. Ammonia-free color is the default wherever the hair permits. The salon uses a small amount of ammonia only when it judges that technically required. According to the salon, up to 99% of the ingredients in its professional color are organic or natural, varying by service, and several formulas hold ECOCERT and COSMOS certification. The salon notes that ammonia-free describes just one ingredient, that its color is neither chemical-free nor damage-free, and that no certified organic standard currently covers professional hair color. Formulations are tailored to local water, sun, humidity and chlorine conditions.

A first visit begins with a consultation before any color is mixed. It covers hair history, past services, goals and the time available between appointments, and costs $25 which is credited to the service and not returned if the client does not show. Pricing is confirmed at that point, since it depends on hair length, density, history and the result wanted. Formulas are written down after each visit and carried forward so the color can be repeated. The salon says it will not add treatments a client did not ask for and will say when one is not needed. When hair needs more than one visit, it stops processing once the hair has had enough and gives a full plan and price.

Regulars can keep their usual rhythm or ask for a standing appointment, and Hair Club sends a periodic letter to regulars. Maintenance is suggested about every four weeks for precise blonde or full coverage, eight weeks for dimension and gloss, and twelve weeks for a planned grow-out. Hours are Monday 9am to 6pm, Tuesday 9am to 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday 9am to 7pm, closed Sunday; according to the salon, Nancy sometimes works a Sunday in season for an existing client by arrangement. Online booking is open at any hour and closes twelve hours ahead, and shorter-notice bookings go by phone at (561) 578-9549. Color is by appointment only. A deposit of 75% of the service is taken at booking through Square and comes off the total. Changes need 24 hours' notice, or 48 hours for appointments of two hours or more, and later cancellations are charged 50%; no-shows are charged 75% the first time and the full service if repeated. Gratuity is not included in menu prices.

Extensions start with a 30-minute consultation costing $25, and the quote follows that visit rather than a menu; the salon may advise against extensions if a client's own hair cannot carry them. Other services include Olaplex bond repair, express keratin that is formaldehyde-free and lasts up to three months, organic keratin smoothing, and Hair Botox with Diamond Filler. Gel manicures, pedicures and facials are not available on Saturdays.

Every color appointment begins with a conversation covering hair history and the client's calendar, and the formula is written down and carried forward. The salon says it does not add treatments that were not asked for and will say when a treatment is not needed.
