The Gema Beauty is a small hair and waxing business in Round Rock, Texas, run from a suite. Its menu covers haircuts for clients 65 and older, toddler to teen cuts, men's cuts and beard trims, women's cuts and styling, color, a keratin treatment, scalp care and waxing.

For men, the menu includes a standard haircut, a haircut with shampoo and style, a one size all over buzzcut and a 00 fade with shampoo and style. Beard trims include beard balm and are done without a straight razor. Women can book layered cuts for medium-length hair, bob and pixie cuts, curtain bangs or fringe trims, shampoo and blow dry, and scalp clarifying and exfoliation.

Color work includes gray root coverage using permanent color on one to one and a half inches of growth, and one color all over. New color clients are asked to book a free in-person consultation, which takes about 15 minutes and can't be done over the phone, before their first color appointment. A keratin hair repair mask treatment is also offered.

Clients arriving 15 minutes or more late are canceled, since the time runs into the next client's appointment. Cancellations and rescheduling need 48 hours' notice, and no-shows may only rebook if the next appointment is prepaid. New clients pay a deposit for some services, refundable only up to 48 hours before the appointment. Payment is due at the time of service, cash is preferred but not required, and major credit cards and mobile Tap to Pay are accepted with a 2.5% platform processing fee. Checks, Cash App, Zelle, Venmo and PayPal are not accepted.
