About

The Color + Curl Co·Lab is run by Sasha, who owns the studio and works as its curl and color specialist. The studio describes itself as more than a salon, an educational hub as well as a place for appointments.

Hair care here is built on haircare science, with color formulated to keep hair healthy. Each client gets a custom regimen and a routine meant to support color or style between visits. Products are treated as tools that work with a client's natural curl pattern rather than as a way to change it.

New clients begin with a foundation session before any advanced styling. The hair health foundation covers a clarifying scalp and strand detox, steam hydration, a deep moisture or protein treatment, bond care with Olaplex, Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate or K18, a precision trim, a style of choice and a custom care plan. The curl culture foundation includes a consultation, a hair detox, a scalp scrub and three bond-builder and protein treatments with steam, and finishes with a detangle, trim and style such as finger coils, flexi rods, wash-and-gos or twist-outs.

Every color booking starts with a consultation that reviews color history and routine, the look wanted, a maintenance schedule and how to prepare. Silk presses begin with a consultation and a precise trim, followed by treatments such as pH balancing, protein strengthening, bond repair or steam hydration. The amino acid treatment is an add-on meant to extend silk press results and reduce frizz on straightened hair. It does not change the hair's chemical structure, and the studio says results typically last four to six months, suggesting two to three treatments a year.

Appointments are released monthly, usually around the 15th. The studio is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 7pm, and it offers a mentorship program for stylists with one-on-one training in curl-specific techniques and color formulation.

Pairs haircare science with a custom, hands-on approach: products serve as tools that support natural curl, and shampooing is recommended at least every two weeks, with raw oils and butters left out of recommendations.
