The salon operates from Suite 104 inside Believe Studio Suites at 8408 Six Forks Road in Raleigh. The suite sits in the 100 section of the building, so visitors looking for the 200 suites are in the wrong area. Free parking is available in the building lot.

The salon is run by its founder, China, and its services are organized around understanding a client's hair before anything is done to it. Hair history, current condition and personal goals are discussed in a separate consultation, which leads to a service plan. A consultation is required before certain services, including some chemical services and more complex hair concerns, and the consultation fee is applied toward the service if the client goes ahead with the recommendation.

Appointments are booked only through the online booking site. A $40 non-refundable deposit secures the appointment and is applied to the service balance. New clients begin with a New Client Service, and anyone who has not visited in six months or longer is treated as a new client again. Same-day bookings must be made at least four hours ahead, and a waitlist is offered when nothing is open.

The salon asks for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and late cancellations may cost the deposit. No-shows forfeit the deposit, and clients who repeatedly miss appointments or do not communicate may lose the ability to book. There is a 15-minute grace period; arriving 20 minutes or more late can mean a $15 late fee and an adjusted or rescheduled appointment.

The shop also sells a few hair accessories: silk scarves at $10.00, a net scarf at $7.50, and Doobie Head Wraps at $8.00.
