About

Charleston Atelier is a clinic run by a physician in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough part of downtown Charleston, founded by Dr. Kendall Phelps-Polirer. Weight care, peptide protocols, skin optimization and aesthetic medicine are all handled under one physician, with the goal of swapping brief, disconnected visits for protocols clients can keep up over time. Patients come from Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, James Island, Daniel Island, West Ashley and the broader Lowcountry.

Visits begin with a consultation in which the physician reviews goals, medical history and labs before a plan is made, and treatment choices depend on that history and her assessment. GLP-1 plans come as a written protocol covering medication, dose steps, protein and strength targets and check-in dates, and every plan includes a planned off-ramp for coming off the medication. Compounded tirzepatide is not FDA-approved, so the physician decides at consultation whether it suits each client. The medication is kept on site and dispensed to the client after the visit.

Peptides come from two licensed 503A compounding pharmacies, Sweetgrass Pharmacy and UMS Rx, and each peptide dispensed comes with a certificate of analysis. Peptide protocols are aimed at recovery, energy, skin and longevity. The practice describes its GLP-1 and peptide protocols as personalized and focused on muscle preservation and long-term optimization rather than one-size-fits-all escalation.

The aesthetic menu includes Botox and Xeomin, dermal fillers, Radiesse, PRP facial renewal, polynucleotides, skin boosters and fat dissolving injections. Membership is optional. The Ritual costs $99 a month and covers aesthetics and wellness, with member pricing on eligible services. The GLP-1 Face & Body Protocol Membership costs $299 a month with a three-month commitment, includes monthly tirzepatide and a $50 monthly Atelier Wallet credit, and has no separate membership fee. Individual services can be booked at regular prices.

Insurance is not accepted, though documentation for HSA or FSA spending is available where eligible. Blood work can be collected at the clinic or at a patient's home. Opening times are weekdays 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM, with Sunday closed. Phone: (843) 377-3713. The clinic also runs small-group educational sessions and public events led by physicians on GLP-1 medications, peptides and regenerative aesthetics. These are informational only and do not substitute for an individual clinical assessment.

Treatment selection depends on medical history, goals and the physician's assessment, and metabolic care looks at labs, body composition, recovery, nutrition and long-term planning together.

The practice describes its setting as a quiet house in downtown Charleston.
