The Boxwood is a private venue for hair services, set in a ground-up architectural building in the West Highlands neighborhood of Denver. Guests enter through a front gate and walk through a garden to reach the studio.
The studio is run by Becky Borman, who owns it and works as its stylist. The business is built around one-on-one appointments rather than a team of chairs, so each visit is with her directly.
Services fall into three groups: consultation, haircutting and styling. A consultation is a 30-minute session to look at a guest's hair and the look they want, and guests are asked to bring pictures. Haircuts are offered for new and existing clients, with longer appointments that include a thorough consultation and a warm towel massage. Styling covers natural curl diffusing, smooth waves, straightened looks, and event styling with curls, smoothing or updos.
The studio is open Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed Friday through Sunday. Bookings are made with a non-refundable deposit. Clients can reach the studio by phone at (303) 503-8087 or by email at becky@theboxwoodstudio.com.
