New clients starting locs, and clients moving over from another stylist, are encouraged to book a free consultation first. For people choosing between microlocs, Sisterlocks and traditional locs, the consultation reviews hair density, length and texture, and includes a price and time estimate for each option considered. Clients are not required to book the same day. Transferring clients are asked how their locs were started, how they have been maintained, whether wax was used, and how long it has been since their last retwist.

Starter loc and retwist appointments are booked online, and consultations and all other services can be booked through the same online booking page, where prices are published. Appointments are scheduled to allow the full service time, and the studio does not double-book.

Beyond locs, the menu includes box braids, knotless braids, sew-ins and sew-ins with closure, silk wraps, cuts, shampoo and sets, flexi rods, color and highlights, Scalp Refresh and Scalp Restore treatments, and facials. Gift cards are sold in amounts from $25 to $200, or in another amount, and never expire. The website also includes an online store with organic skincare, hair care, supplements and home goods.
