The business started as an idea its founder, Chelsea Ricketts, developed while attending esthetics school. It is registered as Tha Brow Doctor LLC and trades as ThaBrow Doctor.

Permanent work includes Ombré Powder Brows (about 2 hours 30 minutes, $375), Combo Brows (about 2 hours 20 minutes, $400), Nano Brows ($420, about 2 hours) and Lip Blushing (about 2 hours 15 minutes). Brow Correction takes about 3 hours and needs a 30% deposit, though the studio notes that not every earlier permanent makeup case can be corrected. Touch-ups are split by timing: a 6 to 8 week visit for clients returning from an initial appointment (about 1 hour 30 minutes), and a 0-3 year touch-up (about 2 hours). Bookings outside the 6 to 8 week window are rebooked as the longer touch-up. A permanent makeup consultation without treatment takes 30 minutes.

Non-permanent brow services include Brow Lamination (Just a Lam) at $89, about 45 minutes; Just a Fill, a tint with clean up and shaping by razor or tweezing, at $30; Tha Clean Brow, combining tint, wax and clean up at $60; Tha Full Treatment, which adds lamination to that combination; and Quick Flip, a brow wax with clean up and shaping at $15. A 5-minute Vitamin C face serum appointment is also offered, along with a 5-minute facial massage and lip or chin wax add-ons available with most services. The business describes brow lamination as its most popular service and says it works for all brow types.

Most brow and permanent makeup services require a 20% or 30% deposit applied at checkout, refundable only if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled at least 3 business days ahead. Lamination is not offered to clients who dyed their brows in the last 6 weeks, bleached them within 12 weeks, or had a chemical peel within 2 weeks. Permanent makeup clients receive a pre-appointment checklist covering medications, products and treatments to avoid. Hours are Monday 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Thursday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday 9:00 am to 8:30 pm; the studio is closed on weekends. All purchases are final, and defective items can be reported by email with the order number and receipt.

Tiny tattoo services include Flash Tattoo at $80 (about 1 hour 30 minutes, $45 deposit), Tiny Tattoo Custom with a starting rate of $80 (about 1 hour 30 minutes, $60 deposit) and Tattoo Freckles (about 1 hour 15 minutes). The studio also trains artists: the Brow Mapping Course is listed at $100 on sale (regularly $250), the Lamination Training Course at $499 on sale (regularly $600), and the elite Business Boot Camp series pairs business skills with permanent makeup training. The non-permanent training includes a hands-on component and covers basic shaping, waxing and advanced treatments.
