About

Sweethread is at 1034 N. Coast Hwy. 101 in Encinitas. The salon describes itself as Leucadia's most in-demand sugaring and threading salon. Hair removal is central to the menu: threading for facial hair, and sugaring for body hair using a paste made from sugar, lemon and water.

Microblading is offered as a semi-permanent brow treatment in which hair strokes are drawn by hand. Permanent makeup covers eyeliner and permanent color on the face, lips and eyelids. Facials and peels are tailored to each client's needs, and MLD, the Doctor Vodder technique, is a light-touch lymphatic therapy.

Men are a clear focus. The salon says it is one of the few salons in North San Diego County that caters to men for hair removal and grooming. Its manscaping menu includes a signature service called The Manzilian.

Micropigmentation is offered for areola reconstruction for patients who have had surgery. The salon says its technicians are oncology certified and experienced in color restoration for micropigmentation, and that its microblading technicians are experienced and certified.

Booking is by appointment only, Tuesday through Saturday, and can be made online at any hour. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. According to the salon, threading results last two to four weeks and sugaring results three to six weeks, depending on hair growth, with sugaring touch-ups usually needed every four to six weeks. The salon says it has over 15 years of experience in sugaring and threading and that client satisfaction is its top priority.

The salon is committed to refining its techniques and continuing its education in skin care and hair removal, with client satisfaction as its top priority.
