The salon describes itself as a clean air salon and says it uses some of the lowest-tox color and styling products available in the United States, made to European and Australian health guidelines. Its color is Original Mineral Color from Australia, a formula without ammonia, resorcinol or PPD. According to the salon, hair clippings, color waste, gloves, masks and contaminated foils are recycled through the Green Circle salon recycling service, and it reports being 95% waste free.
Haircuts already include consultation time, so no separate consultation is booked. A cut typically takes about 1.5 hours and includes a wash and blow-dry or hand styling, with pricing starting at $145. Colour visits run longer: an all-over retouch needs 2.5 hours or more, while lightening ranges from a mini highlight or balayage session, offered to established clients, to a transformational blonde that takes 4 hours or more. Keratin smoothing is provided by Lauren. Corrective colour for drastic changes, correcting a prior result, or very fragile hair begins with an email or text to the salon. Clients with very thick hair are asked to mention it when booking. Cancellations or no-shows made with under 48 hours' notice may be charged the full service price, at the stylist's discretion.
