The salon's goal is for each client to leave more confident and better informed about their natural curls. Visits usually begin with a consultation that looks at the client's hair history, concerns and goals. Appointments are unhurried, and consultations can be extended when more time is needed.

Cutting is built around the curl. A curly cut includes a detox, personalized wash education and a styling plan, so clients learn how to care for their hair at home. Education and transformation sessions go further, covering customized washing and styling, in-depth curly hair education, home care, scalp and hair detox, and drying methods.

Deep conditioner treatments use K18, Mizani and Metal Detox masks, and each one includes a scalp and hair detox along with styling and drying. Kids cuts are offered for children 12 and under, with a parent or guardian included in the lesson on product use and styling. Bridal hairstyles for curly hair, including updos and loose curls, are booked through a consultation, and pricing is set at that point.

The salon offers guidance on salon-quality products as well as do-it-yourself options, and recommends trimming curly hair two to three times a year, depending on texture, length and density.

Curl care is taught as well as performed, so clients leave with a routine they can keep up at home. Each consultation starts with the client's hair history, concerns and goals.
