Susan Baatz opened the studio in Washington Crossing in 2005. It began as a massage practice, and facials, waxing and makeup application were added over time. Permanent makeup was added more recently.
The studio describes itself as a private boutique setting with a relaxed, cozy feel. Daily services are limited so each appointment can be tailored to the client. The Ultimate Personalized Facial starts with a skin analysis, and the treatment is built from that.
Massage options include Therapeutic, Deep Muscle, Swedish, Warm Stone, Himalayan Salt Stone and prenatal and postnatal massage, along with a Micro Buff Body Polish that pairs a body exfoliation with a massage. Facial options cover the Ultimate Personalized, Uplifting, Resurfacing, Gentlemen's, Teen and Micro Current Therapy treatments, plus combinations with massage. Multi-session packages are available for massage and microcurrent, and spray tanning is sold in a series of three.
Booking details: the studio asks for 24 hours notice to cancel, otherwise a 50% fee of the scheduled service applies. Late cancellations within 2 hours and no-shows are charged the full price of the scheduled services. For forecast bad weather, clients are asked to call 24 hours ahead to plan. The studio has free parking and WiFi, sells gift certificates through its online store, and accepts cash, checks, debit cards, American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard. It is not listed as kid friendly.
The studio limits how many services it does each day so every appointment can be personalized. The aim is a consistent experience and a long-term understanding of each client's body and skin.
