Suite Caroline Salon

Suite Caroline Salon is a shared salon for independent stylists in Grayslake, and the work is appointment-only. Each stylist keeps their own profile with contact details, hours and online booking. The salon describes itself as Grayslake's first scalp spa.

The scalp spa is built around a personalized scalp and hair assessment, followed by a detox scalp cleanse that removes buildup from the scalp and follicles. A moisturizing or nourishing hair mask, a scalp, neck and shoulder massage that blends traditional methods with techniques developed in Japan, a halo waterfall rinse and a steamed towel wrap follow. Three packaged options are offered, and each one includes an essential oil-infused eye mask. The salon says the treatment may help with inflammation, stress, oily or dry scalp and hair loss. Blowdries come as either a brisk version or a luxury complete version.

Clients are asked to keep a credit card on file when booking. Cancellations made within 24 hours are charged half the service price, and no-shows are charged the full service fee, both non-refundable. Stylists set their own cancellation and no-show requirements. Gift certificates, including e-gift certificates, are sold in the salon and online, carry no service fees and do not expire. They can only be used toward services with Caroline, are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost. All sales are final.

Chair rental is open to hairstylists on part-time or full-time terms, with weekly or monthly options. The space offers a high-visibility location, 24/7 access, a secure work area and a custom window decal for the business. Wi-fi and a beverage and snack bar are complimentary. The salon describes its chair rental rates as unbeatable. The boutique carries handmade greeting cards by Becky and custom crocheted items by Faith, which can be made to special requests.

The salon says it believes each client is her own best accessory, and it takes pride in its education and experience.
