Terry Amanti is the owner. The business started as a home studio in 2005, after Amanti had run a bigger salon under the same name in Lake Villa. The studio draws households and local residents from the Painted Lakes area of Lake Villa and nearby communities.

She performs every service at the studio personally. Her specialties are precision cutting and custom color for women. The menu also covers children's cuts, men's haircuts from simple to stylish, and waxing for the upper lip and eyebrows.

The studio works by appointment only. It is open Monday through Thursday 9am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm. Cash and checks are accepted. Email is answered within 24 hours, so anything needed sooner should be requested by phone.

Listed base prices start at $12 for a kids' precision cut, $16 for a men's cut with shampoo, $18 for a women's precision cut and $8 for upper lip waxing. Extra length or custom services may add to these. A deep conditioner add-on is $10 for women's, men's and kids' cuts.

Services are by appointment only, and the owner does the work personally in a home studio.
