Studio 919

Studio 919 is located at 13617-A Genito Road in Midlothian, Virginia, inside the Wilton Square at Brandermill shopping center. The studio held a grand opening at its new location on September 3, 2022.

Waxing is the core of the business. Full body waxing is offered for men and women, with packages of six months and a year listed on the booking platform for each. New clients can book a Brazilian wax at a set introductory price of $30.

All visits are by appointment. New booking dates open on the first day of each month. The studio accepts cash and major credit and debit cards, but not Cash App or other third-party payment apps.

The studio's FAQ explains some of what to expect. According to the FAQ, waxing leaves little regrowth for four to six weeks and causes less skin irritation than shaving, with a lower chance of ingrown hairs. Clients are asked to wait at least four weeks after shaving or using a depilatory before a waxing appointment. Exfoliating every other day with an organic sugar scrub is suggested beforehand, and a lemon-based organic sugar scrub is suggested for dark spots or hyperpigmentation.

Pregnant clients and plus-sized clients are welcome. Clients may be waxed during their menstrual cycle if they insert a clean tampon before the appointment, though they may feel more sensitive at that time.
