Southside Stylez is a unisex salon on Lyons Ave in Irvington. Its menu covers braiding for toddlers, kids, teens and adults, wig installs and maintenance, loc and twist work, silk presses, high ponytails, color and natural cluster lashes.

Wig and weave clients should plan ahead. Install hair must be dropped off three days before the appointment during business hours, and each client places a card with their name inside the hair bag.

Children are welcome for several services. The kids' service for ages 6 to 12 covers natural hair work including braids, and parents are not allowed in the appointment. Children have to sit still for the whole service or it is stopped. Toddlers ages 2 to 5 also need to sit for their stitch braids, which include a wash and blow out. Frontal wigs are offered to teens 13 and up, including middle and high school students, and the wigs must be new.

Payment is taken by card through Square checkout. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges. The online shop sells hair bundles, frontal, closure and 4x4 wigs, and a range of hair care products.
