Potent Transitions works mainly with natural hair. About

Appointments are booked online seven days a week, and walk-ins are not accepted, so clients are asked to call ahead to check the wait time. If the online calendar shows no openings, clients can phone 951-990-9098. VIP appointments outside regular business hours carry a $200 fee added to the cost of services. That fee is paid upfront and is non-refundable, and rescheduling or cancelling a VIP appointment incurs another fee.

Services are offered to women, men and children. Men's options include braids, twists, color, trims, hydration treatments and scalp detox. Henna and jagua artistry, bridal, soft glam and full glam makeup, and event work are offered as separate services. Bookings from $50 to $4,000 can be paid over time through Afterpay or Affirm, with approval needed before the appointment.

The salon also sells natural hair and skin care products, including shampoos, conditioners, a scalp and skin antiseptic and treatments.
